Charles Dickens\u2019s A Christmas Carol<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A holiday classic, A Christmas Carol<\/em> is an age-old favorite for people of all ages. This renowned Charles Dickens tale of a selfish man, Ebenezer Scrooge, learning to open up during the holidays through a tour with Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, is not to be missed at The Logos Theatre. It is a story of community, love, and redemption and captures the spirit of giving during the holiday season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polar Express Party<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At various Greenville Libraries (December 12: Travelers Rest; December 12: Fountain Inn; December 14: Taylors)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by the beautiful children\u2019s book The Polar Express<\/em> by renowned author Chris Van Allsburg, Greenville Libraries\u2019 Polar Express Party is a delight for the entire family. Set in Grand Rapids, Michigan (Van Allsburg\u2019s home town), The Polar Express<\/em> tells the story of a young boy who wakes up on the night of Christmas Eve to a surprise \u2013 but rather than Santa, it is a train that is waiting for him. Children and adults alike enjoy the boy\u2019s magical journey through forests and mountains to the North Pole in the adventure of a lifetime. Crafts and snacks are provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nutcracker<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Greenville Symphony Orchestra. December 21-23, Peace Concert Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nutcracker <\/em>is a favorite holiday tradition for many. Follow the story of young Clara as she sneaks down on Christmas night to check on her beloved nutcracker doll, only to get wrapped up in a whirlwind, whimsical adventure with the Nutcracker Prince. They travel through the Land of Snow and the Land of Sweets, meeting the Sugar Plum Fairy, and facing off with the Mouse King. With the International Ballet Company and the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, this iteration of the classic tale is sure to be a new family favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas Inn Our Town<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fountain Inn. December 6-22, Wednesday-Sunday, 6pm-9pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take part in the awesome holiday activities at Fountain Inn with Christmas Inn<\/em> Our Town! This annual favorite includes a carriage ride (must be reserved beforehand), a market with local vendors to pick up last minute holiday gifts, activities for the entire family, and a beloved tree lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Greenville Little Theatre. December 13-15, 7:30pm. $20-28.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the classic Frank Capra film, It\u2019s a Wonderful Life<\/em> tells the story of George Bailey, a down-and-out man who is uplifted by the appearance of his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody. Through this fantasy journey, George Bailey learns just how important the giving spirit is during the holiday \u2013 and how important he is to his community and loved ones. Greenville Little Theatre\u2019s performance of this beloved tale is sure to be a family-pleaser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All I Want for Christmas Are My Two Front Teeth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Greenville Little Theatre, December 11, 7pm; December 12-14, 10:30am; December 15, 10:30 am and 2pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the little ones in your family (children ages 3-10), Greenville Little Theatre brings a production (possibly inspired by the Chipmunks\u2019 hilarious holiday song) of All I Want for Christmas Are My Two Front Teeth<\/em>. When second-grader Lucy Lesprit loses her two front teeth before a big school talent show, where she intended to showcase her whistling abilities, she makes a Christmas wish! A hilarious and heartwarming comedy for the whole family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
